This week our guest is Tim Pratt from Highland Homebrews! 

Tim brings us some of his delicious beers including Lush! an English Stout that won Best In Show at the 2022 NEBCO brewing competition.

We discuss Tim's series of Grateful Dead themed beers and his simple, but eye popping can art designs. Tim, who is a professional chef with a bachelor's degree from Johnson & Whales University describes brewing beer as a mashup of baking and cooking. We ask Tim about competing in Home Brew Competitions. How competitive do they get? Who are some of his favorite fellow competitors. Tim is an avid golfer so; we discuss which is the best golf movie between Caddyshack and Happy Gilmore. We discuss some of Tim's recipes and ask what he would make out of a mystery box on Chopped. Is Tom M a Dick?

Tom M is an institution in the Connecticut Craft Beer Community. he loves stouts so much that he created his own brand "It's Always Stout Season" which has raised money for charities such as Closer To Free. As well as helped bartenders financially during the pandemic. Tom joins us in the studio to taste all kinds of stout and tells us how the hashtag #TomMisAdick made him a local celebrity (But don't call him an influencer) Tom tells us how being a pro wrestling fan helped him create his own gimmick as a public figure in the beer world. He teaches us about the rule of 3 when buying bottled stouts. We hear about Tom recently going to his first concert at 43 years old. And we try a plethora of stouts all coming in at over 9% Abv. We try Barreled Souls Brewing Company's Coffee Monster Double Coffee Imperial Stout and Dropped Bars! an imperial stout with Heath Bar. Plus, we try stouts from Labyrinth Brewing, Broad Brook Brewing, Problem Solved Brewing Company And we bust open a year-old stout that we saved from our trip to Raquette River Brewing in Tupper Lake New York.

This week our guest is John Spignesi from The John Spignesi Band. The John Spignesi Band or JSB band is a fun jam style band that plays regularly on the craft brewery scene. John tells us all about who inspired him to pick up a guitar from his Dad, The Grateful Dead to Metallica. We hear all about The JSB Band's new album ROOTS featuring original songs the John wrote about things such as his hometown of Short Beach, The struggles of the pandemic and even a song that makes Keg very angry! and we discuss why. we also hear about John's favorite songs to cover. his music guilty pleasures and getting in trouble at a gig at a gyro place. Our guest this week is a lead singer of the band Sex And Candy its......Pamcakes!!!

Pam tells us all about transitioning from working 16 years in the beer industry to being the lead singer of 3 Bands!! Sex And Candy The Ultimate 90’s Experience, SNAFU and Jagged Little Pam.....a tribute to Alanis Morissette. Pam tells us all about her favorite 90’s bands and influences, Crowd surfing stories, Winning money in Karaoke contests and more. We also get Pam’s takes on Joe Biden, Guns, 9-11 and who she would pick if she created her own super band and of course we taste some Beer! This week Comedienne Whitney Allen joins us to talk Comedy, Concerts and Beer. Whitney chose a beer by using her expert skills in picking her favorite can art. We cover the new Netflix three-part docuseries about the music festival Trainwreck: Woodstock '99.  We talk about Limp Bizkit's "Breaking Stuff", Korn being hard to follow and The Red Hot Chilli Peppers lighting the place up. We also discuss the debacle of over priced concessions and over flowing violence and violent fan reactions.

Jimmy “Wall Street” Rapuano is........The Man On The Street (@jimmyraponthestreet) for 99.1 WPLR’s Chaz and AJ in the Morning (@chazandaj).  Although Wall Street drinks no beers, he still came by the Beer Man Beer Studio to talk some comedy and music.  Jimmy does it all.....from owning his own business, performing stand up comedy, co-promoting his own local talent contest with the great Ian Cunningham (@bigwonder55), ”Staven’s Got Problems” and not to mention he's no stranger to working in a kitchen.  He brings us his signature Homemade Meatballs to try on the show. Jim tells us all about growing up Italian in East Haven, Connecticut, the truth about Olive Oil and how he ended up in Anger Management.  We get the lowdown on a high profile lawyer that performed stand up comedy at “Staven’s Got Problems” and what he hates about the brewery scene.

Veteran of the comedy game, John Cleveland tells us about his early start in Stand Up Comedy opening up for Martin Lawrence at Connecticut’s Jokers Wild Comedy Club and recent shows with Marshall Brandon at The Funny Bone. See how John and Carolina met and how John purposed.

This week our guests are Rob and Luis from Cerveza Papi [@cervezapapi_] and they both bring us some of there signature beers with a tropical vibe.

We try a Pina Colada IPA, El Dorado, Coquito Milk Stout and more. We talk about Cerveza Papi’s atmosphere at Brew festivals and how they keep everyone flocking to their tent with not just delicious beers but with music and tropical ices as well. Rob and Luis, who are cousins, talk about serving in the United States Military. Rob in the Air Force and Luis in The Army and the things they disagree on.

We talk plans of Cerveza Papi opening there own Tap Room and the food and atmosphere that will be there. We talk Cerveza Papi’s Stylish merch, from T-shirts to hoodies and how Rob came up with the design ideas. We also get in deep conversation about Gangster movies, Collaborations with other breweries and what we all think is better between beer and marijuana.
