We talk to Kathy about getting her start in Comedy and opening up for top acts such as Kevin James and Rain Pryor. We also discuss her political views and if she is an undercover Republican. What is Kathy's obsession with Justin Bieber and why she is called The Joan Jett of Comedy? We talk to Jenny about being new in comedy and “Paying your Dues”, Fitness and how to stay healthy, if you drink a lot of beer. Can a Waterpik make or break a relationship?

Episode 86 | Beer For Booper

This week our guest is Instagram Beer advocate Booper (@beerforbooper)! We talk with Booper about being a new dad, working as a television producer for WWE, and his Instagram page where he organically has grown his own following on his journey of delicious craft beers. We try "Bunghole", a brown ale from our friends at Lime Drop Garage (@Limedropgarage). We also try a 20 dollar can of beer, "Even More Bianca" from @eviltwinbrewingnyc and @omnipollo. 

Booper also brought us a DIPA dedicated to late rapper MF Doom from @twovilliansbrewing in Nyack, NY. We touch topics such as exotic hot dogs and hot dog eating contests. Booper is gathering badges on Untappd. He delivers his best Randy “Macho Man” Savage impression and we talk tunes from Bloc Party, Leo Moracchioli. J@*n gives us his picks for a Super Band and we try a new Spiked Sparkling Coconut Water, Coco Cocktail (@cocococktail), a delicious hard beverage that helps keep the hangovers away. Episode 85 | Road Trip.....Raquette River Brewing

It’s a Road trip to the Adirondacks, our destination, Raquette River Brewing [@raquetteriverbrewing] in Tupper Lake, New York for some Beer Man Beer!

We talk to Mark Jessie [@mark_a_jessie] ( Co-owner of Raquette River Brewing). He tells us how him and his partner Big Joe went from home brewing to opening the premier spot in the Adirondacks for amazing craft beer. We try some of their most delicious beers such as......A Maple Cream Porter, Big Joe’s Hot Pepper Pale Ale, Water Melon Cucumber Kolsch and more! We also talk with the men behind the beer! The Brewers! Kevin [@pallwilleaux], Tanner [@t_hockey20] and Josh [@joshweise23]. 

We talk to the guys about their favorite beers to make and of course we talk music! We hear about some of the guys favorite bands which ranged from Pink Floyd, Nina Simone, Rage Against The Machine, Steve Vai and and we hear who they would pick as a super band. We learn about ROOST [The Regional Office of Sustainable Tourism] and the amazing attractions in the Adirondacks. We find a breakfast spot with chainsaws and "homemade toast". This week, we down beers sent to us from the "Windy City" Chicago, Illinois!  Back in studio is Comedienne Brii Hiltz (@brii_ality). We try a barley wine, IPA’s and more. Briizy talks about Stand Up comedy, Poutine, The Love Boat, Super Troopers and we take a look back at the 1981 film classic “Heavy Metal”.

This week our guest is Guitarist from the Punk Rock band DAMN BROADS (@damnbroads) Ines Segarra! Ines has her own beer review show on YouTube called “Broad In A Brewery” (@broadinabreweryct) where she critiques beers and breweries all over Connecticut. When we saw a low score she graded a certain brewery, we had to have her in studio to blind taste test some of their beers to see if we can trick her into giving a higher score to the Mystery Brewery! Do we pull it off? Tune in to find out. We also try a collaboration brew from Skulls Brew House (@skulls_brew_house) and Fallen Timbers Brewing Co. (@fallen_timbers_brewing_co). Episode 80 | A High Level of Malpractice.

This Week Kyle And Carol from Malpractice Brewing Company (@malpracticebrewingco) are back!! They brought us some new “Beer Flavored” Beers. We try "Money Can Buy You Hoppiness" IPA and the "Shillelaghs" Stout. We about talk some of their classic beers and some of the craziest adjuncts Kyle has added to beers, Including Pop Rocks, Marshmallows and his famous Pineapple Gose Upside-Down Sour. Kyle and Carol brought in some “High Level Snacks” for us to try. He used his culinary skills to create his own version of an artery clogging jalapeño popper. We also tried "Banana Hammock" a Banana Milkshake IPA made by Fallen Timbers Brewing (@Fallen_timbers_brewing_co) and discuss our thoughts on Banana flavor in beers.  And we try "Spilled Schmoojee" from Urban South Brewery (@urbansouth_htx). A Watermelon, Raspberry, Passion-fruit, White Chocolate Fruited Kettle Sour.

While we drink, we chat about Kyle’s passion for culinary arts. Will Connecticut legalize Marijuana? Why does Carol hate to bake? The “Scoop There It is” Commercial.

This week our guest is Connecticut’s most "influential" beer "influencer" @jessbeerme !!

In her first ever podcast appearance 

Jess reveals how she built a fan base of over 22k followers on Instagram, staying true to herself.  She takes us on a flight to her home country of Ecuador, talks about the culture, shows us how to toast and the growth of the brewery scene. Next, Jess takes us to Denver and talks about her outrageous adventure with other Instagrammers at The Great American Beer Festival.

 

Who is Wallace?

 

As an craft beer advocate, Jess fills us in about the collaboration between Sacred Heart University (@brewatshu) and New England Brewing Company (@newenglandbrewing) (@nebcojammy). They've established a scholarship for Black students as a means to diversify the brewing industry. And, to ensure the scholarship support continues, the Connecticut Brewers Guild (@ctbrewersguild) has initiated an endowed fund with SHU—the Connecticut Brewers Guild African American Brewing Scholarship.
